ExploreNJ Conference in Jersey City and Newark

CIANJ presented on  its website: CIANJ partnered with Choose New Jersey on a one-of-a-kind, two-day conference focusing on why New Jersey is the place to invest and grow a business. A highlight of the first day was the signing of a Statement of Cooperation between Commerce & Industry Association of New Jersey and the American Hungarian Chamber of Commerce of New York.

The statement outlines how both organizations will work together to build relationships and encourage foreign investors, especially from Hungarian businesses, in the Garden State.

Featured speakers at ExploreNJ’s first day in Jersey City included State Sen. Tom Kean, Choose New Jersey President & CEO Jose Lozano and Dr. Bernard McSherry, Founding Dean, School of Business, NJCU.

The second day in Newark included remarks from NJIT President Dr. Joel Bloom, Newark Alliance President Aisha Glover, United Airlines New York/New Jersey Region President Jill Kaplan and PSEG Power President and COO Ralph LaRossa.

The conference took place in Jersey City at New Jersey City University (NJCU) and in Newark at the New Jersey Innovation Institute, an NJIT corporation — two of New Jersey’s premiere institutes of higher education which are both members of CIANJ.

Explore NJ attendees heard from dignitaries and business professionals on topics ranging from finding the right location, automation, protecting intellectual property, developing their workforce and identifying key partners such as real estate brokers, attorneys and accounting professionals who can help build a successful business. They enjoyed half-day sessions featuring topical information, one-on-one meetings with business experts and of course time to build relationships and knowledge over networking breakfasts, lunches, dinner and tours.
